CPEC upgraded is spearheading a new era as China and Pakistan reaffirm commitment to elevate their strategic partnership, focusing on growth, green development, and people-centric progress.
Islamabad – In a significant outcome of the 6th strategic dialogue between the two countries, Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their steadfast CPEC upgraded commitment to a revitalized China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), setting a course to transform the corridor into a dynamic, inclusive, and sustainable powerhouse of cooperation Geo.
CPEC upgraded At the joint press conference, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar highlighted the perfect alignment between the two nations on key bilateral, regional, and global concerns. He welcomed Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s vision for ushering in a new phase of bilateral development, particularly by upgrading CPEC Geo.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi underlined CPEC’s role as the foundational pillar of the Pakistan-China strategic partnership and announced plans to expand its framework into four key pillars CPEC upgraded: a growth corridor, a livelihood-boosting corridor, a green corridor, and an open corridor. This reimagined CPEC aims to simultaneously enhance industrial, agricultural, and mining capabilities—paving the way for a more resilient and self-sufficient Pakistan Geo.
China also reaffirmed CPEC upgraded its support for the development and operation of the strategic Gwadar port and the realignment project of the Karakoram Highway (KKH). Additionally, it welcomed third-party engagement in the promising ML-1 Main Line Railway project Geo.
The dialogue coincided with a trilateral meeting held just prior in Kabul, involving the foreign ministers of Pakistan, China, and Afghanistan. The three nations emphasized their joint dedication to regional peace, stability, and prosperity—a testament to the strength and reach of their partnership Geo.
Senator Dar also conveyed gratitude for China’s ongoing support in safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national dignity. The two countries reaffirmed their collaborative presence in multilateral spaces, particularly through Pakistan’s current tenure as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council Geo.
Looking ahead, preparations are underway for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s forthcoming visit to China for the SCO Summit—a pivotal event for deepening strategic ties. Furthermore, Pakistan and China will commemorate the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relationship next year, celebrating with a series of joint events Geo.
Wang Yi concluded by expressing China’s solidarity with Pakistan amid recent flooding, pledging to immediately provide emergency humanitarian assistance. He also lauded Pakistan’s determined and effective counter-terrorism efforts, commending their role in ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals and institutions in Pakistan Geo.
The Prime Minister expressed profound gratitude to the leadership, government, and people of China for their unwavering support in safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national development.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent support for China on its core issues and stressed Islamabad’s determination to further strengthen the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, a vision shared by the leadership and people of both nations.
The premier praised President Xi Jinping’s visionary leadership and his pivotal role in cementing the enduring Pakistan-China friendship. Recalling his cordial and productive meeting with President Xi in Beijing last year, he said he eagerly anticipates his upcoming visit to Tianjin and Beijing. During the trip, he will attend the SCO CHS meeting and the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance and the World Anti-Fascist War.
He noted that he looks forward to engaging with President Xi, Premier Li Qiang, CPEC upgraded and other senior Chinese leaders during the visit.
Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reaffirmed Pakistan’s status as an “ironclad” friend and all-weather strategic partner CPEC upgraded. Applauding Pakistan’s firm commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity, he pledged that China would continue to work alongside Pakistan to advance peace, development, and stability in the region.
