The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced that Pakistan will host its maiden T20I tri-series this November, featuring Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. The event kicks off on 17 November at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium with a clash between Pakistan and Afghanistan Geo NewsPakistan Cricket Board.

This tournament forms part of the teams’ preparations for the upcoming 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, to be held jointly in India and Sri Lanka Geo NewsPakistan Cricket Board. Notably, this marks the first time Afghanistan will play a T20I match in Pakistan, having previously only contested ODIs in the country, the most recent being against Australia during the ICC Champions Trophy in February Geo NewsPakistan Cricket Board.

The schedule continues with Sri Lanka facing Afghanistan on 19 November, also in Rawalpindi. The competition then moves to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, where five more matches will be played—including the final on 29 November Geo NewsPakistan Cricket Board.

Though already scheduled is a South Africa tour—consisting of two Tests (part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27), three ODIs, and three T20Is—from 12 October to 8 November, the tri-series will seamlessly follow as part of a packed international calendar Geo NewsPakistan Cricket Board.

PCB COO Sumair Ahmed Syed expressed optimism about theT20I tri-series, stating it’ll serve as ideal preparation for the World Cup while offering fans thrilling cricket across multiple venues.
