Samiya Hijab drops charges, Hassan Zahid granted bail
ISLAMABAD: Social media influencer Samiya Hijab has withdrawn her cases against Hassan Zahid after reaching an out-of-court settlement, leading to a major legal turn. An Islamabad district and sessions court on Monday granted Hassan Zahid bail against surety bonds of Rs20,000 in each case.
At the hearing, Samiya Hijab informed the court she no longer wished to pursue the matter and had no objection to Zahid’s acquittal. Earlier this month, she had accused Zahid of harassment and an attempted abduction outside her residence.
The settlement ends weeks of social media speculation surrounding the high-profile case. The court’s decision marks a turning point as both parties move towards resolution and closure.
