Imran Khan Letter to CJP Highlights Solitary Detention & 300 Cases
ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan has written a powerful letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi, claiming that justice has been denied to him and his wife.
Aleema Khan, the PTI founder’s sister, submitted the letter at the Supreme Court, accompanied by other family members.
In his letter, Imran Khan says he has been kept in solitary confinement for 772 days in a 9×11 cell he calls a “cage,” and alleges that more than 300 political cases have been filed against him — unprecedented in Pakistan’s history.
The PTI founder also voiced serious concerns about the deteriorating health of Bushra Bibi, alleging that doctors have been barred from examining her. He urged the chief justice to protect their constitutional and legal rights.
Earlier, Adiala Jail officials stated Khan enjoys B-Class facilities including custom meals, healthcare, newspapers, books, and a private courtyard for exercise, insisting he is treated better than other inmates.
