Gold prices soar globally and in Pakistan, hitting Rs390,300 per tola, while silver also gained, reflecting global market shifts.
KARACHI — Gold Prices Soar climbed sharply in both international and domestic markets on Saturday, with bullion traders announcing revised rates.
In the global market, gold rose by $28 per ounce, reaching $3,685. This surge directly pushed local rates higher, as 24-karat gold per tola jumped by Rs2,800 to Rs390,300, while 10 grams increased by Rs2,401 to Rs334,619.
Silver also saw gains, with per tola prices up by Rs114 to Rs4,532 and 10 grams higher by Rs98 at Rs3,885.
The rise followed a brief dip earlier in the week when gold slipped by $11 per ounce globally, bringing local prices down to Rs387,500 per tola. However, the latest rally restored momentum, reinforcing gold’s position as a key safe-haven asset amid market uncertainty.
