Overseas Pakistanis hailed as key force driving Pakistan’s economic stability.
LONDON – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised overseas Pakistanis for their unmatched contribution to stabilising Pakistan’s economy, highlighting a record $38.5 billion in remittances. Speaking at the Overseas Convention in London, he called them the country’s “political and economic voice,” noting their value was beyond gold or jewels.
PM Sharif recalled Pakistan’s swift and decisive response to cross-border aggression, crediting the courage of the armed forces, national unity, and strong leadership for the “great victory of May 10.” He emphasised that Pakistan’s “falcons” defended the homeland effectively while citizens across the nation stood resilient.
He said the nation’s overseas community continues to embody patriotism and economic power, sending record funds and strengthening Pakistan on the global stage.
