KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a powerful weather alert, predicting rainfall with strong winds in southeastern Sindh starting tonight and continuing until October 2.
According to the Met Office, districts including Umerkot, Tharparkar, Badin, Mithi, Sujawal, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Karachi, and Thatta are likely to experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Some areas could witness moderate to heavy downpours. Karachi rain forecast
While most of Sindh will remain hot and humid on Monday and Tuesday, light to moderate showers are expected in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Sujawal, and Sanghar. Karachi’s maximum temperature may rise between 35°C and 37°C, with partly cloudy skies on September 30.
The PMD’s Early Warning Centre also highlighted the possibility of scattered thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall in parts of the metropolis.
