Nowshera, Pakistan CTD rescue operation– In a dramatic turn of events, the three men abducted in Nowshera including a telecom engineer have been safely recovered, thanks to the swift action of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
The ordeal began when the engineer, a laborer from Karak, and a driver from Parhoti Mardan were kidnapped while working on an optical fiber installation in Nizampur. The engineer’s father, deeply worried after losing contact with his son, filed a complaint that led to an urgent police response. The family’s fears intensified when they received a disturbing WhatsApp photo of the abducted men, followed by a chilling ransom demand of Rs5 million.
A First Information Report (FIR) was quickly registered at the CTD Mardan Circle Police Station under Section 365A of the Pakistan Penal Code (kidnapping for extortion) and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act. Nowshera Police spokesperson Turk Ali Shah confirmed that the CTD was immediately tasked with the rescue operation.
Today, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police announced the successful recovery of all three abducted men. Officials from the Nizampur Police Station were alerted and acted swiftly, ensuring the safe return of the victims to their families.
This shocking incident has gripped the local community, but the rapid response and coordinated efforts of the CTD and police have brought relief and hope.
