Heavy Rain Karachi: Roads Flooded and Power Outages Reported
KARACHI (August 19, 2025):
A flash flood, Karachi struck after intense rainfall blanketed the city since Tuesday morning, causing widespread urban flooding and extensive power outages as traffic came to a standstill Dawn.
According to the Met Office, the heaviest downpours were recorded at Gulshan-i-Hadeed (145 mm), followed closely by Airport Old Area (138 mm), Keamari (137 mm), Jinnah Terminal (135 mm), and University Road (132 mm). Several other areas also reported significant rainfall. Heavy Rain Karachi Dawn.
