Light showers that began overnight intensified into a substantial downpour by early morning, uplifting the mood across the city. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), this rain spell is just the beginning. Torrential rainfall is expected over the next 24 hours across northern areas such as Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, and Galiyat. The Met Office also issued warnings about potential urban flooding in low-lying zones across major cities including Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Lahore, Attock, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Nowshera, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mithi, and Thatta ARY NEWS.
