LAHORE: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday revealed that Pakistan possesses video evidence confirming the downing of six Indian fighter jets by the Pakistan Air Force during the recent Marka-e-Haq conflict in May 2025.
Speaking at a seminar on “Global Impacts of Pakistan’s Military and Diplomatic Victories over India” organized by the Waris Mir Foundation at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Naqvi lauded the decisive role played by the armed forces, intelligence agencies, and national leadership in what he described as a historic triumph.
Naqvi disclosed that Pakistan had radar confirmation of the enemy aircraft’s destruction within minutes but chose not to announce it until undeniable video evidence was secured. “The videos of all six destroyed Indian jets were obtained within minutes, and today I am making it public,” he said.
He highlighted the exceptional performance of Pakistan’s intelligence agencies, who intercepted India’s decisions, flight operations, and strategies well in advance. “These hidden soldiers worked silently yet decisively, and they deserve the nation’s gratitude,” Naqvi added.
The minister also described divine intervention during the war, revealing that India fired seven missiles at a Pakistani military base but none hit their targets. “Faith, belief, and determination invite the help of Allah,” he remarked, praising Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal General Asim Munir for responding with courage and conviction.
Naqvi noted that Pakistan’s forces successfully struck multiple strategic targets inside India, fulfilling all objectives set by the leadership. During a meeting with a Saudi delegation, he recalled, Field Marshal Munir compared India to a “shining car” and Pakistan to a “loaded dumper,” symbolizing the inevitable outcome of their clash.
The minister also emphasized Pakistan’s unity, contrasting it with India’s internal rifts. According to him, Indian military and political leaders, including Ajit Doval and Amit Shah, orchestrated the Pulwama “false-flag drama,” which ultimately backfired on New Delhi.
He further alleged that India continues to sponsor terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stressing that Pakistan has undeniable proof of this interference. He reaffirmed Islamabad’s unwavering support for the Kashmir cause, vowing that Pakistan will persist until Kashmiris secure their UN-mandated right to self-determination.
Naqvi also praised Pakistan’s political consensus during the conflict, noting that all major parties stood united, while PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s diplomatic outreach gained traction abroad. Meanwhile, India’s delegation, he claimed, struggled to lobby effectively.
Concluding his speech, Naqvi commended Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for standing firm despite mounting international pressure following the destruction of Indian jets. He urged the continuation of the current civil-military cooperation to ensure Pakistan’s long-term stability and progress.
