Islamabad is preparing for a large-scale polio drive from October 13–19, targeting over 461,000 children under five across 80 union councils. The campaign will deploy door-to-door teams, mobile vaccination units, and special counters to ensure no child is left unvaccinated.
Islamabad’s district administration has finalized preparations for a week-long polio drive set to begin on October 13, aiming to vaccinate 461,125 children under five. The initiative covers all 80 union councils of the capital.

Authorities highlighted persistent hurdles such as population movement, refusals, and logistical issues but stressed that closing these gaps is crucial. Parents have been urged to fully cooperate, as missing even one child could endanger others.
