RAW Terror Network Sindh’s CTD, supported by intelligence agencies, has dismantled a Karachi-based terror cell linked to India’s RAW and arrested four suspects in connection with the murder of social worker Razaullah Nizamani; authorities uncovered funding and operational ties to a Sindh separatist group.
The Sindh Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), RAW Terror Network aided by an intelligence agency, has successfully dismantled an alleged terrorist network affiliated with India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) operating in Karachi. During a press briefing held at the Central Police Office on August 23, Additional IGP CTD Azad Khan Tanoli revealed that the network was behind the murder of social activist Razaullah Nizamani, who was fatally shot on May 18 in Matli, Badin district.ARY NEWS
Investigations pinpointed RAW Terror Network officer Sanjay Sanjeev Kumar, currently believed to be based in a Gulf country, as the mastermind. The accused operative, Salman Virk from Sheikhupura, fled overseas after the killing and later escaped to Nepal.ARY NEWS
On July 8, CTD officials arrested four suspects—Umair Asghar, Sajjad, Obaid, and Shakeel—using technical surveillance. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to collaborating with RAW’s local network, admitted affiliations with a banned militant group, and disclosed intentions to carry out further terrorist acts in Karachi.ARY NEWS Authorities also seized two handguns, a motorcycle, and mobile phones used in the crime.ARY NEWS
Tanoli further alleged that RAW funded the operation through formal banking channels and maintained close communication with handlers overseeing the assassination. He added that additional arrests may follow, as the investigation uncovered links between RAW and a regional separatist organization in Sindh.ARY NEWS
