Hollywood star Glen Powell has spoken openly about the Robin Williams inspiration that shaped his approach to acting, especially while working on his latest Hulu series, Chad Powers.
The project has drawn comparisons to the late comedy legend’s classic hit Mrs. Doubtfire. Addressing these parallels in an interview with Us Weekly, Powell praised Williams’ timeless legacy.
“Robin Williams was one of the greats. I’ll never be in the same league as him, but what I admired most about Mrs. Doubtfire was how it could make you laugh and cry at the same time,” Powell shared.
Reflecting further, he said the movie’s power lies in its emotional depth: “It’s about a father who wasn’t doing a great job, but through disguising himself as a housekeeper, he learned how to be a better dad.”
Powell emphasized that stories with emotional range and heart are what inspire him most, crediting Williams for leaving behind an extraordinary benchmark for actors to follow. Robin Williams inspiration
